BetterFleet, a Sydney-based SaaS provider specializing in fleet electrification solutions, has successfully closed a $15 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by Aligned Climate Capital, with participation from Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF) and Remarkable Ventures Climate (RVC).
Founded in 2016 by CEO Daniel Hilson, BetterFleet offers an AI-powered platform that assists transit, government, utilities, and logistics fleets in transitioning to zero-emission vehicles. The software creates a digital twin of fleet operations, enabling operators to optimize vehicle and infrastructure selection, ensure asset readiness, minimize operating costs, and gain data-driven insights for continuous performance improvement.
The newly acquired funds will be utilized to accelerate BetterFleet’s growth, expanding its user base beyond the current 200 customers across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and North America. This strategic move aims to further deploy BetterFleet’s AI-driven optimization technology to fleets globally.
CEO Daniel Hilson expressed enthusiasm about the funding, stating, “We are about to see an explosion in EV uptake among Australia’s fleet managers because the advantages of running an electrified fleet using cutting-edge tech are now undeniable.”
With this investment, BetterFleet is poised to play a pivotal role in the global shift towards sustainable, efficient fleet operations, offering tools that significantly reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.
